You Really Are All of It

Is there anything outside of consciousness?

Can you find anything that is independent of consciousness?

Take your time and consider these questions at a leisurely pace.

Can you find a single object, thought, or concept that exists independent of consciousness?

Slow down; don’t rush. Be open to what this implies. Let it work on you.

Even “the mind” – does it exist outside of consciousness? Can it?

* * *

Once you have determined that nothing exists independent of consciousness, are you curious about consciousness?

Does it matter what’s in it?

Where does it come from? What is before consciousness?

What is the source of consciousness?

If nothing you can name or know exists independent of it, can the source of it be nameable or knowable?

Is there consciousness here now?

Are you conscious?

What is the source of this that you are?

Who are you? Can you be named or known?

If you are conscious, and your source can not be known, what is this you think of as you?

Just ask these questions of yourself and don’t expect an answer. The answers will not come verbally. Entertain the questions seriously, but with no expectations. Be fluid in your curiosity.

This mysterious thing known as consciousness – from what, by what means is it present? Is this knowable?

This is YOU I’m talking about.

You. Conscious. Unknowable.

Deeply mysterious. Why is there consciousness at all? Why are you?

 * * *

Do you think you are one of the little players on the screen?

Can the little player exist independent of the consciousness? Can there really be a little player – a body, a self, a “you” – that is not the one consciousness that nothing can be independent of?

Can there be any parts?

If there are no parts, what are you?

You are all of it. You are all of it.

Nothing exists independent of you.

You!
